Hillary Clinton, the twice-failed presidential candidate, has entered a new chapter in her post-White House career by teaming up with tech media personality Kara Swisher for a podcast series titled “High Stakes.” The limited series, which will run through mid-November and debut on Wednesday, aims to dissect critical issues ahead of the midterm elections.
In an announcement video that highlighted Clinton’s characteristic charisma, she stated: “I’m teaming up with Kara Swisher to dig into the issues that matter most before the country heads to the polls. The stakes have never been higher.”
Sources indicate that Swisher has expressed a keen interest in showcasing Clinton’s wit and charm during their collaboration. Swisher described Clinton as “so funny” in an intimate setting.
However, reports suggest the partnership may stem from personal resentment toward Swisher’s ex-lover, Nellie Bowles. Bowles, a former reporter now married to Bari Weiss, the CBS News executive who could soon lead CNN following its acquisition by Paramount Skydance, has reportedly been a source of tension for Swisher.
According to insider accounts, Swisher remains emotionally invested in Bowles and has expressed frustration over her previous relationship with Weiss. In a public statement, Swisher denied any direct connection to the reports but acknowledged her ongoing romantic feelings for Bowles: “As exciting as girl on girl action is for you to gin up, I have been saying for a long time now that I would depart CNN if the deal goes through, due to my lack of confidence in the owners as decent media stewards.”
The situation has drawn significant attention as both figures prepare for their upcoming podcast series.
